Dead

Mat_9:24  he said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him.

Mat_10:8  Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Mat_11:5  The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

Mat_14:2  and he said to his attendants, "This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him."

Mat_17:9  As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."

Mat_22:31  But about the resurrection of the dead--have you not read what God said to you,

Mat_22:32  'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."

Mat_23:27  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.

Mat_27:64  So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first."

Mat_28:4  The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

Mar_5:39  He went in and said to them, "Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep."

Mar_6:14  King Herod heard about this, for Jesus' name had become well known. Some were saying, "John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him."

Mar_6:16  But when Herod heard this, he said, "John, whom I beheaded, has been raised from the dead!"

Mar_9:9  As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

Mar_9:10  They kept the matter to themselves, discussing what "rising from the dead" meant.

Mar_9:26  The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, "He's dead."

Mar_12:25  When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

Mar_12:26  Now about the dead rising--have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?

Mar_12:27  He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!"

Mar_15:44  Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died.

Luk_7:12  As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out--the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.

Luk_7:15  The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.

Luk_7:22  So he replied to the messengers, "Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

Luk_8:49  While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. "Your daughter is dead," he said. "Don't bother the teacher anymore."

Luk_8:53  They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.

Luk_9:7  Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was going on. And he was perplexed because some were saying that John had been raised from the dead,

Luk_10:30  In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.

Luk_15:24  For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.

Luk_15:32  But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'"

Luk_16:30  "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

Luk_17:37  "Where, Lord?" they asked. He replied, "Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather."

Luk_20:35  But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage,

Luk_20:37  But in the account of the burning bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord 'the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.'

Joh_2:22  After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

Joh_5:21  For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

Joh_5:25  Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.

Joh_11:14  So then he told them plainly, "Lazarus is dead,

Joh_11:39  "Take away the stone," he said. "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days."

Joh_11:44  The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."

Joh_12:1  Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

Joh_12:9  Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

Joh_12:17  Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word.

Joh_19:33  But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

Act_5:10  At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

Act_10:41  He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen--by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

Act_10:42  He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.

Act_13:30  But God raised him from the dead,

Act_13:34  God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, "'I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.'

Act_13:37  But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay.

Rom_1:4  and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom_4:17  As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

Rom_4:19  Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead--since he was about a hundred years old--and that Sarah's womb was also dead.

Rom_4:24  but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Rom_6:4  We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Rom_6:9  For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

Rom_6:11  In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Rom_7:4  So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

1Co_15:13  If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.

1Co_15:15  More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised.

1Co_15:16  For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.

1Co_15:20  But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

1Co_15:35  But someone will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?"

1Co_15:42  So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;

1Co_15:52  in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
