Holy Spirit

Mt1:18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

Mt1:20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Mt3:11I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire

Mt 3:16As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. At that moment  heaven was opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him

Mt28:19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Mk1:8I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit

Mk1:10Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, He saw heaven being torn open and The Spirit descending on Him like a dove

Mark16.16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Lk1:15for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.

Lk1:35The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

LK3:16John answered them all, "I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Lk3:21When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened

Lk3:22and The Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: You are My Son, whom I love; with You I am well pleased”

Lk4:14Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.

Lk4:18"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,

Lk5:17One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.

Lk11:13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Lk12:10And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Lk24:49I am going to send you what My Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high”

Jn1:32Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on Him

Jn1:33And I myself did not know Him, but the One who sent Me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with The Holy Spirit

Jn3:3Jesus replied, Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born again

Jn3:5Jesus answered, Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit        (Notes3:5P1781 water here refers to purification)

Jn3:6 Flesh give birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit

Jn3.7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'

Jn3.8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

Jn4:23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in The Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks

Jn4:24God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth

Jn6:63The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you- they are full of the Spirit and life

Jn7:38Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Jn7:39By this He meant the Holy Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified

Jn14:16And I will ask the Father and He will give you another advocate to help you and to be with you forever-

Jn14:17The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees  Him or knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Jn14:26But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you

Jn16:8When He comes, He will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment

Jn16:13But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.

Ac1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

Ac1:5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

Ac 10:45The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles

Ro2:13For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous

Ro2:15They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them

Ro7:6But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code

Ro8:2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death

Ro8:4in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit

Ro8:5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires

Ro8:6The mind controlled by the sinful nature is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace

Ro8:9You, however, are not controlled by the sinful nature but are in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ

Ro8:10But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness

Ro8:11And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you

Ro8:13For if we live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

Ro 8:14For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God

Ro8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

Ro8:23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

Ro8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but The Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Ro15:16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

1Cor 2:10For God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things ,even the deep things of God.

1Cor2:12We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit Who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

1Cor2:13This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit taught words

1Cor2:14The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit

1Cor 2:15The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments

1Cor6.11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

1Cor6. 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

1Cor6.19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

1Cor12:3Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

2Cor3:3You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts

2Cor3:6He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant- not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

2Cor 3:8will not the ministry of The Spirit be even more glorious

2Cor 3:9If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness

2Cor3:17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

2Cor3:18And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s Glory, are being transformed into His image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit

2Cor13:14May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Ga6:8 Those who sow to please their sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; those who sow to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Eph1:17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better

Eph2:22And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit

Eph3:5which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostels and prophets.

Eph3:20Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us

Eph4:3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace

Eph4:30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption

Eph5:18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

Eph6:10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power

Eph6:17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

Eph6:18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people

Col1:9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives

Col2:9For in Christ all the fullness of the deity lives in bodily form

1The4:8 Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

2The2:13But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth

Tit3:5He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit

Rev2.7Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To those who are victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Rev2.17Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To those who are victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give each of them a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
