Mt1:20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
Mt3:9 And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
Mt4:4Jesus answered, "It is written: 'People do not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Mt4:7Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'
Mt5:17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Mt5:33 "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.'
Mt5:34But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne;
Mt5:35or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
Mt5:36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black
Mt5:39But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.
Mt5:42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
Mt5:47And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
Mt6:2"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
Mt6:3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing
Mt6:5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
Mt6:7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
Mt6:8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Mt6:15But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Mt6:16 "When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
Mt6:19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
Mt6:20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
Mt6:25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
Mt6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Mt6:28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
Mt6:31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
Mt6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Mt7:1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
Mt7:6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
Mt8:8The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Mt9:14 Then John's disciples came and asked him, "How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?"
Mt10:5These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.
Mt10:9"Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts—
Mt10:19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say,
Mt10:26 "So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.
Mt10:28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell
Mt10:34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Mt13:12 Those who have will be given more, and they will have an abundance. As for those who do not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
Mt13:13 This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
Mt13:19 When people hear the message about the kingdom and do not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their hearts. This is the seed sown along the path.
Mt14:16Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."
Mt15:32Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way."
Mt16:23Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."
Mt18:10-11 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
Mt19:14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Mt21:21Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done
Mt22:29Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God
Mt23:3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
Mt23:9And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
Mt23:13-14"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
Mt24:23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.
Mt24:26"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
Mt24:42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
Mt24:44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Mt25:13"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
Mt25:29For those who have will be given more, and they will have an abundance. As for those who do not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
Mt28:5The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
Mt28:10Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."
Mk2:22 And people do not pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins."
Mk4:25Those who have will be given more; as for those who do not have, even what they have will be taken from them."
Mk7:3(The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders.
Mk7:4When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)
Mk8:33But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."
Mk9:39"Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,
Mk10:14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Mk11:23"Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and do not doubt in your heart but believe that what you say will happen, it will be done for you
Mk12:24 Jesus replied, "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
Mk13:7When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
Mk13:11Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
Mk13:21At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it.
Mk13:33Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.
Mk13:36If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.
Lk1:13But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.
Lk1:30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.
Lk2:10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Lk3:8Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
Lk4:4Jesus answered, "It is written: 'People do not live on bread alone.'
Lk4:12Jesus answered, "It is said: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'
Lk5:37And people do not pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.
Lk6:29If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt.
Lk6:30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
Lk6:37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Lk6:46"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?
Lk6:49But those who hear my words and do not put them into practice are like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."
Lk7:6So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof.
Lk8:14The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
Lk8:18Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Those who have will be given more; as for those who do not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them."
Lk9:5If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them."
Lk9:50"Do not stop him," Jesus said, "for whoever is not against you is for you."
Lk10:4Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
Lk10:7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for workers deserve their wages. Do not move around from house to house.
Lk10:20However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
Lk12:4"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.
Lk12:11"When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say,
Lk12:22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.
Lk12:24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
Lk12:27"Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these
Lk12:29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it
Lk12:30"Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
Lk12:40 You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
Lk14:8"When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited.
Lk14:12 Then Jesus said to his host, "When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid
Lk14:33In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.
Lk15:7I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Lk16:31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "
Lk17:23 People will tell you, 'There he is!' or 'Here he is!' Do not go running off after them.
Lk18:16But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Lk20:21So the spies questioned him: "Teacher, we know that you speak and teach what is right, and that you do not show partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.
Lk21:8He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.
Lk21:9When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away."
Lk23:28Jesus turned and said to them, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children
Lk23:34Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."] And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
Lk24:18One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?"
Jn1:26"I baptize with water," John replied, "but among you stands one you do not know.
Jn3:11Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony
Jn3:12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
Jn4:9The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
Jn4:22You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
Jn5:28"Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice
Jn5:38nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent.
Jn5:41"I do not accept glory from human beings,
Jn5:42but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.
Jn5:43I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.
Jn5:44How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?
Jn5:45"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.
Jn5:46If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.
Jn5:47But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?"
Jn6:27Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."
Jn6:36But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe.
Jn6:64Yet there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.
Jn6:67"You do not want to leave too, do you?" Jesus asked the Twelve.
Jn7:28Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own authority, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him
Jn8:19Then they asked him, "Where is your father?" "You do not know me or my Father," Jesus replied. "If you knew me, you would know my Father also."
Jn8:24I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins."
Jn8:28So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.
Jn8:45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!
Jn8:47Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
Jn8:55Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word.
Jn9:33If this man were not from God, he could do nothing."
Jn10:5But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
Jn10:25Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father's name testify about me,
Jn10:26but you do not believe because you are not my sheep
Jn10:37Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father.
Jn10:38But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."
Jn11:50 You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish."
Jn12:15"Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey's colt."
Jn12:35 Then Jesus told them, "You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Those who walk in the dark do not know where they are going
Jn12:44Then Jesus cried out, "Those who believe in me do not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.
Jn12:47"As for those who hear my words but do not keep them, I do not judge them. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
Jn12:48There is a judge for those who reject me and do not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.
Jn13:7Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."
Jn14:1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
Jn14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work
Jn14:27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Jn15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Jn15:6If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned
Jn15:15I no longer call you servants, because servants do not know their master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
Jn15:19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
Jn15:21They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.
Jn16:9about sin, because people do not believe in me;
Jn16:30 Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God."
Jn19:21The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, "Do not write 'The King of the Jews,' but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews."
Jn20:17Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "
Jn20:23If you forgive the sins of anyone, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."
Jn21:18Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go."
Ac1:4On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.
Ac3:6 Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."
Ac7:60Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.
Ac10:15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
Ac10:20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them."
Ac11:9"The voice spoke from heaven a second time, 'Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.'
Ac13:46Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: "We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.
Ac18:9One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.
Ac23:5Paul replied, "Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: 'Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.'
Ac25:11If, however, I am guilty of doing anything deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if the charges brought against me by these Jews are not true, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!"
Ac27:24 and said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.'
Ro1:13 I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.
Ro2:14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law.
Ro3:17and the way of peace they do not know."
Ro6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.
Ro6:13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
Ro7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
Ro7:16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.
Ro7:19For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
Ro7:20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
Ro8:4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
Ro8:9You, however, are not controlled by the sinful nature but are in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ
Ro8:25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Ro8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Ro10:6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' "(that is, to bring Christ down)
Ro11:18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
Ro11:19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in."
Ro11:20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble.
Ro11:2 3And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again
Ro11:25I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not think you are superior: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in,
Ro12:2Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Ro12:3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you
Ro12:4For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function
Ro12:14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Ro12:16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not think you are superior.
Ro12:17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
Ro12:18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Ro12:19Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.
Ro12:21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Ro13:4For the one in authority is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
Ro13:14Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
Ro14:7For we do not live to ourselves alone and we do not die to ourselves alone.
Ro14:15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother or sister for whom Christ died.
Ro14:16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil.
Ro14:20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.
Ro14:22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed are those who do not condemn themselves by what they approve
1Cor1:7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
1Cor3:18Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become "fools" so that you may become wise.
1Cor4:3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.
1Cor4:6Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other.
1Cor4:15 Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.
1Cor5:1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man has his father's wife.
1Cor5:11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with any who claim to be fellow believers but are sexually immoral or greedy, idolaters or slanderers, drunkards or swindlers. With such persons do not even eat.
1Cor6:9Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor practicing homosexuals
1Cor7:5Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
1Cor7:23You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. .
1Cor7:27Are you pledged to a woman? Do not seek to be released. Are you free from such a commitment? Do not look for a wife.
1Cor8:2Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know.
1Cor9:9 For it is written in the Law of Moses: "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain." Is it about oxen that God is concerned?
1Cor9:16 For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
1Cor10:1 For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea.
1Cor10:7Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry."
1Cor10:10 And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
1Cor10:18Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?
1Cor10:20No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. .
1Cor10:21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons.
1Cor10:28But if someone says to you, "This has been offered in sacrifice," then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience.
1Cor10:32Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God—
1Cor12:1Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.
1Cor12:15Now if the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.
1Cor12:16And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.
1Cor13:1If I speak in human or angelic tongues, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
1Cor13:2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
1Cor13:3If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body [to hardship] that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
1Cor14:2For those who speak in a tongue [j] do not speak to other people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit
1Cor14:11If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me.
1Cor14:16Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can the others, who are now put in the same situation as an inquirer, say "Amen" to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying?
1Cor14:39Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
1Cor15:9For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
1Cor15:33Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."
1Cor15:37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else.
1Cor16:7 For I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.
2Cor1:8We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself.
2Cor1:13For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that,
2Cor2:17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
2Cor4:1Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.
2Cor4:2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.
2Cor4:16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
2Cor5:4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
2Cor6:14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
2Cor7:3I do not say this to condemn you; I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you.
2Cor7:8Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while—
2Cor10:3For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
2Cor10:9I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you with my letters.
2Cor10:12We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.
2Cor10:16 so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else's territory.
2Cor11:5I do not think I am in the least inferior to those "super-apostles."
2Cor11:11Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!
2Cor11:29Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?
2Cor12:2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows.
2Cor12:3And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—
Gal2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Gal5:1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Gal5:13You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
Ga6:7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. People reap what they sow.
Ga6:9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Eph4:26 "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
Eph4:27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
Eph4:29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Eph4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Eph5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
Eph5:7Therefore do not be partners with them.
Eph5:17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
Eph5:18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit
Eph6:4Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Eph6:9And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.
Phi1:22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!
Phi2:3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
Phi3:13Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
Phi4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Col1:23if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Col2:16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.
Col2:18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such people also go into great detail about what they have seen, and their unspiritual minds puff them up with idle notions.
Col2:21 "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"?
Col3:9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices
Col3:19Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
Col3:21Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
1The1:8The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it,
1The4:5not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God;
1The4:9Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other
1The4:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope
1The5:1Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you,
1The5:5You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.
1The5:19Do not put out the Spirit's fire.
1The5:20Do not treat prophecies with contempt
2The1:8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
2The3:9We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.
2The3:14 Take special note of those who do not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed
2The3:15 Yet do not regard them as enemies, but warn them as fellow believers.
1Tim1:7They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.
1Tim2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.
1Tim4:14Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
1Tim5:1 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers,
1Tim5:11As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry.
1Tim5:18 For Scripture says, "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain," and "Workers deserve their wages."
1Tim5:19Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses.
1Tim5:21I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.
1Tim5:22Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
2Tim1:8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God
Tit1:15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.
Tit2:15These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
Heb2:1We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away
Heb2:8and put everything under their feet." In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.
Heb3:7So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice,
Heb3:8do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness,
Heb3:15 As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion."
Heb4:7 God again set a certain day, calling it "Today." This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."
Heb4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
Heb6:12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Heb10:35So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
Heb11:1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Heb11:32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets
Heb12:5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as children? It says, "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
Heb12:25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?
Heb13:2Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Heb13:9Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by the eating of ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who observe such rituals.
Heb13:14 For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.
Heb13:16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
James1:22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
James2:11For he who said, "You shall not commit adultery," also said, "You shall not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
James3:14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.
James4:2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.
James4:3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
James4:11Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.
James4:14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
James5:12Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple "Yes" or "No." Otherwise you will be condemned.
1Pet1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
1Pet1:14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.
1Pet2:7Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,"
1Pet2:16Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God's slaves.
1Pet3:1Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives
1Pet3:6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
1Pet3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
1Pet3:14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened."
1Pet4:2As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.
1Pet4:4They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you
1Pet4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
1Pet4:16However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
1Pet4:17For it is time for judgment to begin with God's household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
2Pet1:9 But if any of you do not have them, you are nearsighted and blind, and you have forgotten that you have been cleansed from your past sins.
2Pet2:11 yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not heap abuse on such beings when bringing judgment on them from the Lord.
2Pet2:12But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.
2Pet3:8But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
1Jn1:6If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
1Jn2:4 Those who say, "I know him," but do not do what he commands are liars, and the truth is not in them.
1Jn2:11But those who hate a fellow believer are in the darkness and walk around in the darkness; they do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.
1Jn2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If you love the world, love for the Father is not
1Jn2:21I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth.
1Jn2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
1Jn3:7Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
1Jn3:10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Those who do not do what is right are not God's children; nor are those who do not love their brothers and sisters.
1Jn3:13Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.
1Jn3:21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God
1Jn4:1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1Jn4:20If we say we love God yet hate a brother or sister, we are liars. For if we do not love a fellow believer, whom we have seen, we cannot love God, whom we have not seen.
2Jn1:7Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
2Jn1:8Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
2Jn1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them
2Jn1:12 I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
3Jn1:11Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
3Jn1:13I have much to write you, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink.
Jude1:10 Yet these people speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them.
Jude1:19 These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
Rev1:17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.
Rev2:5Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place
Rev2:10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor's crown.
Rev2:24 Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan's so-called deep secrets, 'I will not impose any other burden on you,
Rev3:3Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
Rev3:4You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
Rev5:5 Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."
Rev6:6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "Two pounds [n] of wheat for a day's wages, [o] and six pounds [p] of barley for a day's wages, [q] and do not damage the oil and the wine!"
Rev7:3 "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God."
Rev10:4And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down."
Rev11:2But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.
Rev22:10 Then he told me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near
